COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 10, 2003 <br />APPROVED <br />1 Public Services Director DeGardner advised that Staff recommends approval of Resolution 03-21 <br />• 2 directing the City Attorney to execute a quitclaim deed for a fifteen -foot wide trail easement on <br />3 Outlot A, Pheasant Hills Preserve, 4th Addition. <br />4 <br />5 Councilmember Carlson moved to adopt Resolution 03-21 approving a quitclaim Deed for Trail <br />6 Easement, Outlot A, Pheasant Hills Preserve 4th Addition. Councilmember O'Donnell seconded the <br />7 motion. <br />8 <br />9 Motion carried unanimously. <br />10 <br />11 Resolution 03-21 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />12 <br />13 Consideration of Resolution 03-22, approving City of Lino Lakes/Centennial School District <br />14 No. 12 Site Agreement, Rick DeGardner — Public Services Director DeGardner advised that the <br />15 proposed site agreement under consideration combines the existing Rice Lake Elementary School Site <br />16 Agreement, the existing Centennial Middle School Site Agreement, and addresses Blue Heron <br />17 Elementary School. He stated under the agreement, the City of Lino Lakes will be responsible to <br />18 maintain the outdoor recreation facilities at the Centennial Middle School, Rice Lake Elementary <br />19 School, and Blue Heron Elementary School. In return, the Parks and recreation Department will be <br />20 given first priority use of Middle School Gym 1 from 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; <br />21 and Rice Lake Elementary Gyms B/C on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-10 p.m. He indicated <br />22 additional scheduling of the facilities will be governed by the District's Community Use of Facilities <br />23 Policy No. 2060 that was approved by the School Board in September. <br />.24 <br />25 Public Services Director DeGardner stated that the Site Agreement also addresses concerns Staff has <br />26 had regarding the cancellation of pre -approved gym space with little notice. He indicated this <br />27 agreement would be automatically renewed annually unless either party provides written notice at <br />28 least thirty days prior to January 1 of each year. He stated he has attached a copy of the proposed Site <br />29 Agreement for Council review, and indicated Staff recommends approval of Resolution 03-22. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Bergeson stated that when this topic came up several weeks ago, there was a difference of <br />32 opinion on scheduling. He asked if this has been worked out. Public Services Director DeGardner <br />33 indicated it has. <br />34 <br />35 Councilmember O'Donnell moved to adopt Resolution 03-22 approving City of Lino Lakes/ <br />36 Centennial School District No. 12 Site Agreement.
