COUNCIL MINUTES NOVEMBER 10, 2003 <br />APPROVED <br />49 <br />•50 Police Chief Dave Pecchia advised that the annualTurtleman Triathalon occurs in the south part of the <br />51 City. He introduced two representatives of the triathalon. <br />52 <br />53 Diane Soucheray indicated the police department has been extremely valuable in assisting with this <br />54 event. She presented a donation of $2000. Mark ? agreed the police department has been very <br />55 helpful. He indicated it is always challenging when you are working across jurisdictions, but the <br />56 department works hard to make it a successful event. <br />57 <br />58 Al DeMotts, 7140 Rice Lake Lane stated he was an election judge. He indicated he is disappointed <br />59 and ashamed of the city voters as to the way the election was held. He advised that over one-third of <br />60 the votes cast were undervotes. He quoted statistics by Precinct, indicating an average of 32% were <br />61 undervotes. He commented that if a person cannot pick two out of three to vote for they should not <br />62 be voting at all. He stated if someone keeps up with what is going on in the city, and wants to vote <br />63 for the City Council, they should be able to vote for who is best. He hopes the City Council did not <br />64 encourage any voter to vote for only one candidate. He stated this situation is very disturbing to him. <br />65 <br />66 FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT, AL ROLEK <br />67 <br />68 There was no report. <br />69 <br />70 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />71 <br />A.
