Consider Resolution No. 03-230 for Liquor Licenses and Tobacco License Application, <br />135 Trapper's, formerly Shirley Kaye's, Ann Blair <br />136 <br />137 City Clerk Blair summarized the Staff report, indicating Staff recommends approval of the request. <br />138 <br />139 Councilmember Reinert asked the applicant what would be different when they reopened. He noted <br />140 this has been a fairly popular place in town. Mr. Moore stated they are putting a new bar on the upper <br />141 level, and new stairs to make egress easier. He indicated they have painted the whole place and have <br />142 been cleaning like crazy. He stated the goal is to be a full bar and grill, but they will start with a small <br />143 menu and expand it as possible. Councilmember Reinert stated he personally will come and give it a <br />144 try. <br />145 <br />146 Councilmember Carlson asked when the bar would reopen. Mr. Moore indicated the goal is three <br />147 days before New Year's, but they have had some equipment delivery delays and he is not sure they <br />148 will make that. He stated at the latest they will be open just after the first of the year. <br />149 <br />150 Councilmember Carlson moved to approve Resolution No. 03-220 approving issuance of new On - <br />151 Sale Liquor License, Off -Sale Liquor License, Sunday Liquor License and Tobacco License for <br />152 applicants Commissioner Jeffrey Moore, Lanatte Moore and Glen Moore, for Trapper's Bar and Grill, <br />153 6810 Lake Drive. Councilmember O'Donnell seconded the motion. <br />154 <br />155 Motion carried unanimously. <br />•56 <br />157 Resolution No. 03-220 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />158 <br />159 B. Consider Conditional Offer of Employment for the Position of City Administrator <br />160 <br />161 Acting City Administrator / Director of Administration Tesch summarized the Staff report, indicating <br />162 Mr. Heitke would like to begin employment with the city on February 1, 2004. <br />163 <br />164 Councilmember Dahl asked if this offer is accepted it would be appropriate to invite Mr. Heitke to the <br />165 employee recognition event. Acting City Administrator / Director of Administration Tesch indicated <br />166 he would take care of that. <br />167 <br />168 Councilmember Dahl moved to approve the terms of employment and direct the City Attorney and <br />169 Mr. Brull to finalize a contract and prepare a press release for Mr. Heitke for the position of City <br />170 Administrator.
