Upon <br />23 the current advice of the City Attorney, the City is setting all fees in the form of an <br />24 ordinance. Some of these fees have specific statutory requirements, so those areas have <br />25 been updated. <br />26 <br />27 City Administrator Heitke stated staff has reviewed the fees charged by the individual <br />28 departments and recommended changes to increase or change fees in some cases, or for <br />29 the purpose of coming into compliance with Minnesota statutory requirements. <br />30 <br />31 City Administrator Heitke noted staff did look at other cities and their fees. Staff also <br />32 looked at legal aspects and administrative fees when determining the recommended fees. <br />33 <br />34 Staff reviewed the proposed fees within each department. The Council directed staff to <br />35 make the following changes and clarifications: <br />36 <br />37 1. Council requested staff provide a recommendation on adjusting the wine fee by <br />38 size of the establishment for next year's fees. Council also asked staff for <br />39 clarification on why a liquor license is more costly than a wine license. <br />40 <br />41 2. Council requested the fee for AudioTapes is changed to $10.00. <br />42 <br />43 3. Council requested the Burning Permit fee is changed to $10.00. <br />44 <br />45 4. The Park Dedication fee for Commercial/Industrial is corrected to read $2,175 per <br />• 46 acre. <br />47 <br />
