• • CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 18, 2005 APPROVED 1 City Administrator Heitke advised the City of Circle Pines has inquired about purchasing 2 some property from the City for their new Law Enforcement Center. The property in 3 question has restrictions relating to storm water drainage. 4 5 Community Development Director Grochala advised the City can only use the property 6 for storm water drainage. The City of Circle Pines would also use the property for 7 additional storm water drainage. However, the only potential for Circle Pines is to 8 increase the drainage area. Staff is not sure at this point if the City of Lino Lakes could 9 even sell the property. 10 11 City Administrator Heitke advised he would inform the City of Circle Pines that the 12 Council has not ruled out the possibility of selling the property but more information is 13 necessary before a determination can be made. 14 15 GOAL SETTING SESSION, GORDON HEITKE 16 17 City Administrator Heitke advised the May 26, 2005 Goal Setting Session would begin at 18 noon for lunch and the meeting would begin at 12:30 p.m. 19 20 MINUTES OF APRIL 6,11,20 MEETINGS, CAROLINE DAHL 21 22 Councilmember Dahl referred to the April 6, 2005 Council work session minutes. She 23 advised she did a verbatim transcription of the section relating to the League of 24 Minnesota Cities Charter Commission Workshop. She stated she would prefer the 25 minutes be done verbatim and questions the cut and paste section of the minutes. 26 27 Councilmember Dahl advised she would go back through the minutes and make her 28 suggested changes at the regular Council meeting Monday night. 29 30 Councilmember Carlson referred to the April 11, 2005 Council minutes, page 8, line 363 31 which read "Councilmember Carlson asked if the City received a petition from 25% of 32 the affected property owners that would ensure that a feasibility study would be 33 completed". She corrected this page to read, "brought to a vote" following "study" rather 34 than "would be completed." 35 36 REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS 37 38 Council directed staff to add the following items to the Community Calendar: 39 40 1. City Council Meeting, May 23, 2005, 6:30 p.m. 41 2. City Administrator Review, May 24, 2005, 6:00 p.m. 42 3. Goal Setting Session, May 26, 2005, 12:00 — 6:30 p.m., Fire Hall 43 4. VLAWMO Meeting, May 25, 7:00 p.m., City of White Bear Lake 44 45 Mayor Bergeson reminded the Council the pre -review items for the City Administrator 46 need to be sent back by noon on Friday. 47
