• • • CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JUNE 8, 2005 APPROVED 1 Mayor Bergeson reconvened the meeting at 7:55 p.m. 2 3 Mayor Bergeson advised there are two sets of minutes that have previously been 4 discussed. The Council needs to determine what to do with those sets of minutes as far as 5 changes and action. 6 7 Councilmember Carlson referred to the April 6, Council Work Session minutes page 6, 8 line 35, and changed the sentence to read "Since that time, the Charter Commission has 9 requested that these types of expenditures not be allocated to the Charter Commission 10 area of the City budget since they were not initiated or approved by the Charter 11 Commission". 12 13 Councilmember Carlson also referred to page 7, paragraph 4, and requested comments 14 regarding the Council meeting with the Charter Commission in relation to a retraction 15 from the Charter Commission be added to the paragraph. 16 17 Councilmember Carlson stated she would like the section regarding Charter Cities 18 Workshop of the April 6, 2005 minutes in a verbatim format due to its importance. 19 20 Councilmember Carlson referred to the April 20 Council Work Session minutes page 5, 21 line 20 and asked for clarification regarding the City Administrator's comment "of this 22 issue not being resolved." 23 24 Councilmember Dahl referred to the April 6 Council Work Session minutes, section 25 regarding Charter Commission Request, also is in a verbatim format. 26 27 Council directed staff to get information on the cost of a verbatim transcript for two 28 sections of the minutes as well as the entire set of minutes. Council also directed staff to 29 remove the April and April 20 meeting minutes from the consent agenda and add them 30 to the regular agenda. 31 32 REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS 33 34 Item 1F, Consider Minutes of May 9, 2005 City Council Meeting — Councilmember 35 Carlson referred to page 3, line 134 and changed the word "suggested" to "asked if'. 36 37 Item 1G, Consider Minutes of May 18, 2005 Council Work Session - Councilmember 38 Carlson referred to page 1, line 26 and changed the words "has been servicing" to "had 39 serviced". She also referred to page 2, line 26 and changed the word "profession" to 40 "professional". 41 42 Item 6A, Consideration of Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) 5 -year 43 Strategic Plan — Councilmember Carlson asked for clarification regarding Goal 1, 44 Objective 1. 45
