• <br />• <br />• <br />1 COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 10, 2006 <br />APPROVED <br />Ms. Bergman provided an update to the Council on recent and future activities of the Lino Lakes <br />Royalty and Ambassador Program. She noted the parade with the Lino Lakes Royalty would take <br />place on August 20, 2006. <br />Ms. Amber Horton, current Lino Lakes Ambassador, came forward and noted her recent and <br />upcoming events that she is participating in. She thanked the Council for supporting Blue Heron <br />Days and presented them with a "First Place" royalty float trophy won at the St. Francis Pioneer Days <br />celebration. <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />Authorize the Police Department to Expend $12,698 in Drug Forfeiture Funds to Provide for an <br />Upgrade to the Department Security Camera System — Chief Pecchia stated the City of Lino <br />Lakes receives DWI and drug forfeiture funds from time to time. Based on the State Law and the <br />Department's Policies and Procedures these funds must be expended for law enforcement purposes. <br />The Department is proceeding with the upgrade of the current video security system within the Police <br />Department. <br />Chief Pecchia stated staff is requesting that the Council approve the purchase of the video security <br />system and software utilizing $12,698 from the Drug Forfeiture fund. <br />Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve the purchase of the video security system and software <br />in the amount of $12,698 from the Drug Forfeiture fund, as presented. Council Member Stoltz <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />There was no report from the Public Service Department. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />There was no report from the Community Development Department. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />There was no Unfinished Business. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consider Approval of June 26, 2006 City Council Meeting Minutes (Mayor Bergeson was <br />absent) — Council Member Stoltz moved to approve the June 26, 2006 City Council Meeting <br />Minutes, as presented. Council Member O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried with <br />Mayor Bergeson abstaining. <br />3 <br />
