Motion carried unanimously. <br />7 <br />8 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />9 <br />10 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br />11 <br />12 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />13 <br />14 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />15 <br />16 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />17 <br />18 Consideration 2"d Reading of Ordinance No. 11-06, Rezoning Certain Real Property from R- <br />19 Rural to R-1, Single Family Residential, Lot 4, Block 1 Mar Don Acres (Golden Acres), Michael <br />20 Grochala — Community Development Director Grochala stated the City Council approved the 1st <br />21 reading of this ordinance on November 13, 2006 along with the variances, preliminary plat, and <br />22 MUSA allocation for the project titled Golden Acres. This ordinance will rezone the property to R-1 <br />• <br />23 (Single Family Residential). <br />24 <br />25 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Second Reading of Ordinance No. 11-06, as <br />26 presented. Council Member Reinert seconded the motion. <br />27 <br />28 A roll call vote was taken: five yeas and zero nays. Motion carried unanimously. <br />29 <br />30 Consider 2"d Reading of Ordinance No. 12-06, Approving the Reconveyance of Tax Forfeit <br />31 Property to the State of Minnesota, Michael Grochala — Community Development Director <br />32 Grochala stated on August 9, 2004 the City requested that Anoka County withhold from sale a tax <br />33 forfeited parcel so that the City could obtain the parcel for public purposes. The City wanted to retain <br />34 this parcel for a well, but did not use the parcel for that purpose. <br />35 <br />36 Community Development Director Grochala advised an abutting landowner has inquired about <br />37 purchase of that parcel. In order to make that property available for private purchase, the City must <br />38 reconvey the land back to the State of Minnesota. Once that is complete the County will notify <br />39 surrounding landowners and offer it at a private sale. <br />40 <br />41 Community Development Director Grochala noted the City Charter requires that disposal of any City <br />42 property shall be done by ordinance. <br />43 <br />44 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Second Reading of Ordinance No. 12-06, as presented. <br />11145 Council Member Reinert seconded the motion. <br />3 <br />
