The property is located
immediately west of Centerville Road and adjacent to County Road J. The site lies
within a Stage 2 Growth Area (2010-2020) and is guided for both medium density and
low density sewered residential use.
Community Development Director Grochala advised staff has previously met with the
owners to discuss potential development options for the site. They are aware that the City
is preparing to commence with the Comprehensive Plan update and have indicated their
interest in participating in the process.
Ms. Chris Heim, North Oaks Companies, came forward and provided a history of the
noted property as well as the North Oaks Company.
Mr. Gary Eagles, North Oaks Companies, distributed a master concept plan for the area.
Ms. Heim reviewed the concept plan noting the area is zoned residential and slated for
development in 2010. She stated North Oaks Companies hope to do some type of mixed
use development on the property. North Oaks Companies would like the Council to
consider that when updating the Comprehensive Plan.
Community Development Director Grochala stated staff would be looking at all land uses
within the City when the Comprehensive Plan is updated.
