CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 4, 2006 <br />APPROVED <br />. 1 COUNTY ROAD 49/J MASTER PLAN UPDATE <br />2 <br />3 City Planner Smyser advised staff is making great progress in the master planning process <br />4 for the Hodgson/County Road J area. Recall that an open house was held in March 2005. <br />5 Since then staff has been communicating with property owners, developers, the highway <br />6 departments of Anoka and Ramsey Counties, and the City of Shoreview. Staff is bringing <br />7 a draft Master Plan document through a public review process. Staff is recommending an <br />8 amendment of the Comprehensive Plan to incorporate the Hodgson/County Road J <br />9 Master Plan. <br />10 <br />11 City Planner Smyser stated the Planning and Zoning Board reviewed a draft of the Master <br />12 Plan at its last meeting on November 8 and recommended proceeding with the process. <br />13 An open house was held on November 15. The Planning and Zoning Board will hold a <br />14 public hearing on December 13. <br />15 <br />16 City Planner Smyser reviewed the Master Plan in detail noting is it a concept plan. <br />17 However, some of the components of the concept plan are definite. The loan was to be repaid from the proceeds of the bond referendum <br />2 <br />
