The plan, as submitted by the County, was approved by the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), pending the final adoption of the plan by <br />affected jurisdictions. The council adopted the plan on December 18, 2006 and will now be <br />eligible to apply for funding. <br />Chief Pecchia noted that there are several city -related emergency plans also in place: Pipeline <br />Safety Emergency Response Manual, Emergency Action Guide, and the Pandemic/Influenza <br />Response Plan. He also provided the council with information on an upcoming regional <br />business symposium on Avian and Pandemic Influenza sponsored by the Minnesota Division of <br />Homeland Security and Emergency Management. <br />Chief Pecchia outlined three critical mitigation issues that the city will be working on: fire <br />planning; chemical assessment; and outdoor warning device planning. <br />Anoka County staff will be further updating the council on this item in the near future. An <br />update of the plan will occur in 2008. <br />ADDITIONS TO WORK SESSION AGENDA <br />City Administrator Heitke announced that the following items would be added to the work <br />session agenda: <br />1) Charter Commission correspondence; <br />2) Super Rink Expansion Project Ribbon Cutting; <br />3) Visioning Committee Question <br />
