BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES APRIL 9, 2007 <br />APPROVED <br />•1 Assessor Weiner provided the Board with written information in response to Ms. Kenfield's concern. <br />2 Assessor Weiner's research had been difficult as it was hard to find any similar situations for <br />3 comparables, or even to find flood property information. <br />4 <br />5 The Council discussed at length the issue of a home within a flood zone with a determination that <br />6 they did not have adequate information to make a change to the assessor's calculations. <br />7 <br />8 Motion by Reinert, seconded by Carlson, to refer the matter to Anoka County with a request for <br />9 consideration of the flood zone status of the property. The motion carried unanimously. <br />10 <br />11 Char Elmquist, 6210 Otter Lake Road stated that she addressed the Board last year and worked out a <br />12 reduction based on some major repair issues at the property. There are remaining major repair issues <br />13 as well as a possible mold problem; the property owners are requesting a reduction. <br />14 <br />15 Assessor Weiner recalled that the previous year reduction was based on repair issues. Any change <br />16 due to mold would require official documentation. <br />17 <br />18 Council Member O'Donnell moved to refer the matter of the property at 7133 Sunrise Drive to Anoka <br />19 County. Council Member Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />20 <br />21 Council Member Stoltz moved to refer the matter of the property at 6310 Otter Lake Drive to Anoka <br />22 County. Council Member O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />•23 <br />24 County Assessor staff asked that a message from Richard McNamara, 548 Apollo Drive (Lino Lakes <br />25 Business Center) be entered into the record to allow Mr. McNamara to reserve his right to appeal to <br />26 the County. <br />27 <br />28 ADJOURN <br />29 <br />30 There being no further business, Council Member Reinert moved to adjourn at 7:05 p.m. Council <br />31 Member O'Donnell seconded the motion.
