Staff is recommending acceptance <br />2 of the report and that a public hearing be scheduled for July 9, 2007 regarding the proposed <br />3 improvements. The history of consideration of improvements for the area was reviewed and it was <br />4 noted that the proposed cost of improvements has risen approximately 16% in the past two years. <br />5 <br />6 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No. 07-84, as presented. Council Member <br />7 Reinert seconded the motion. The motion carried. Mayor Bergeson abstained from voting. <br />8 <br />9 Consideration of Resolution No. 07-85, Accepting Feasibility Study and Calling for Hearing on <br />10 Improvements, Shenandoah Area — City Engineer Studenski noted that the feasibility report <br />11 regarding street, storm sewer, and watermain improvements for the Shenandoah area ordered by the <br />12 City is complete and before the council. Staff is recommending acceptance of the report and that a <br />13 public hearing be scheduled for July 9, 2007 regarding the proposed improvements. The cost of the <br />14 improvements has risen since the last consideration of the matter. <br />15 <br />16 There was a request from the Council that the process used to bring both the Shenandoah and West <br />17 Shadow Lake Drive improvements to the public should allow for maximum communication from the <br />18 citizens. <br />19 <br />20 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 07-84, as presented. Council Member <br />21 Carlson seconded the motion. The motion carried. Mayor Bergeson abstained from voting. <br />22 <br />23 Mayor Bergeson took the chair. <br />24 <br />25 Consideration of Resolution No. 07-86, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing <br />26 Advertisement for Bids, Lino Park Improvements - City Engineer Studenski explained that the <br />27 proposed improvements are included in the 2007 Park Board goals and reviewed the work on a map. <br />28 The improvements are fully funded and staff is anxious to get the work done and the park open. <br />29 <br />30 Council Member Carlson moved to approve Resolution No. 07-86, as presented. Council Member <br />31 Stoltz seconded the motion.
