Staff is recommending acceptance 2 of the report and that a public hearing be scheduled for July 9, 2007 regarding the proposed 3 improvements. The history of consideration of improvements for the area was reviewed and it was 4 noted that the proposed cost of improvements has risen approximately 16% in the past two years. 5 6 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No. 07-84, as presented. Council Member 7 Reinert seconded the motion. The motion carried. Mayor Bergeson abstained from voting. 8 9 Consideration of Resolution No. 07-85, Accepting Feasibility Study and Calling for Hearing on 10 Improvements, Shenandoah Area — City Engineer Studenski noted that the feasibility report 11 regarding street, storm sewer, and watermain improvements for the Shenandoah area ordered by the 12 City is complete and before the council. Staff is recommending acceptance of the report and that a 13 public hearing be scheduled for July 9, 2007 regarding the proposed improvements. The cost of the 14 improvements has risen since the last consideration of the matter. 15 16 There was a request from the Council that the process used to bring both the Shenandoah and West 17 Shadow Lake Drive improvements to the public should allow for maximum communication from the 18 citizens. 19 20 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 07-84, as presented. Council Member 21 Carlson seconded the motion. The motion carried. Mayor Bergeson abstained from voting. 22 23 Mayor Bergeson took the chair. 24 25 Consideration of Resolution No. 07-86, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing 26 Advertisement for Bids, Lino Park Improvements - City Engineer Studenski explained that the 27 proposed improvements are included in the 2007 Park Board goals and reviewed the work on a map. 28 The improvements are fully funded and staff is anxious to get the work done and the park open. 29 30 Council Member Carlson moved to approve Resolution No. 07-86, as presented. Council Member 31 Stoltz seconded the motion.
