COUNCIL MINUTES January 14, 2008 <br />APPROVED <br />•93 There was no one present wishing to speak. <br />94 <br />95 Council Member Gallup moved to close the public hearing. Council Member Stoltz seconded <br />96 the motion. Motion carried. <br />97 <br />98 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />99 <br />100 Consider Annual Appointments — Administration Director Tesch outlined the list of annual <br />101 appointments as it was updated after the council work session discussion. <br />102 <br />103 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve the list of annual appointments as presented. Council <br />104 Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />105 <br />106 Accept Resignation of Police Officer Matt Vana - Administration Director Tesch noted that <br />107 Lino Lakes police officer Matt Vana has submitted his resignation; Mr. Vana has accepted a law <br />108 enforcement position in another city. <br />109 <br />110 Council Member Gallup moved to accept the resignation of Police Officer Matt Vana. Council <br />111 Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />112 <br />113 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />414 <br />15 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br />116 <br />117 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />118 <br />119 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />120 <br />121 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />122 <br />123 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 01-08, Amending the Zoning Ordinance to Establish A Time <br />124 Limit For Completion of Exterior Improvements To Structures — City Planner Smyser noted <br />125 that staff is presenting an ordinance to address a problem related to building improvements not <br />126 being completed for extended periods of time. The amendment would establish a time limit for <br />127 completion of exterior improvements to structures. Regarding building permits that have already <br />128 been issued, language has been added that will impact outstanding permits by making the new <br />129 regulations effective as of the effective date of the ordinance. <br />130 <br />131 Council Member Gallup moved to dispense with full reading of the ordinance. Council Member <br />132 Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />133 <br />134 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve 1st reading of Ordinance No. 01-08 as presented. <br />135 Council Member Gallup seconded the motion.
