COUNCIL MINUTES August 25, 2008 <br />APPROVED <br />.2 <br />83 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />84 4A. Consider Resolution No. 08-96, Authorizing execution of agreement with <br />85 Department of Public Safety for Safe & Sober Communities Grant - Public Safety Director <br />86 Pecchia explained that staff is requesting authorization to execute an agreement with the <br />87 Minnesota Department of Public Safety to receive Safe & Sober Community grant funds again <br />88 this year. The agreement includes authorization for the Coon Rapids Police Department to be the <br />89 lead agency. <br />90 <br />91 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No. 08-96, as presented. Council Member <br />92 Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />93 <br />94 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />95 There was no report from the Public Services Department <br />96 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />97 6A. Byrne Langer Addition <br />98 i. Consideration of Resolution No. 08-87, Approving Preliminary <br />W99 Plat <br />00 ii. Consideration of Resolution No. 08-88, Approving Development Agreement <br />101 iii. Consideration of Resolution No. 08-89, Approving Final Plat <br />102 <br />103 City Engineer Studenski reviewed Items 6Ai, 6Aii and 6iii. The property in question is to be split. <br />104 A home was demolished on the property with the intent of the split for two properties. Utility <br />105 services have been planned and grading plans are presented and include negotiations with the <br />106 adjacent property owner. The Planning and Zoning Board held a public hearing on the subdivision <br />107 and approved the request unanimously. <br />108 <br />109 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 08-87, as presented. Council <br />110 Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />111 <br />112 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 08-88, as presented. Council <br />113 Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />114 <br />115 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No. 08-89, as presented. Council Member <br />116 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />117 <br />118 B-) Conder Resolution Ne. 08 90, Approving Reshanau Lake Improvement Project <br />119 Contribution, Marty Asleson <br />*20 <br />21 Item 6B was removed from the agenda at the request of staff. <br />-3- <br />
