Approval of Resolution No. 08-124, providing for a finding of violation of the city <br />57 liquor code and imposing penalties against Jason's Bobby & Steve's Auto World - City <br />58 Clerk Bartell reported that earlier in the evening, the council held a hearing to review the police <br />59 department's report and recommendations relative to compliance checks that were conducted on <br />60 Lino Lakes' licensed liquor establishments. Jason's Bobby & Steve's Auto World was found to <br />61 have violated the City Code and a penalty was considered based on the city's adopted Best <br />62 Practices Grid. Based on the results of the hearing, staff is recommending approval of <br />•63 Resolution No. 08-124 providing for a finding of violation and imposing a penalty upon Jason's <br />64 Bobby & Steve's Auto World <br />65 <br />66 It was noted by the council that the Police Department has made a recommendation of a fine of <br />67 $1,000 based on the best practices grid used by this city and others for compliance violations. <br />68 The council has not deviated from the grid recommendations on other fines. <br />69 <br />70 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 08-124 instituting a compliance <br />71 violation fine in the amount of $1,000 against Jason's Bobby & Steve's Auto World in Lino <br />72 Lakes. Council Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />73 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />74 There was no report from the public safety department. <br />75 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />76 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />77 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />78 6A. Approval of Resolution No. 08-129, making an official determination on the <br />79 definition of chiropractic care within the Zoning Ordinance to include providing care for <br />80 domestic animals — Planner Bengtson reported that the state statutes were recently revised to <br />81 allow certain chiropractors to practice upon animals. This practice is regulated mainly by the <br />•82 state chiropractic board and there is currently one licensee that practices in Lino Lakes. Staff has <br />-2- <br />
