COUNCIL MINUTES October 27, 2008 <br />APPROVED <br />.3 reviewed the city code as it relates to this type of business and is recommending that the council <br />84 approve a resolution that clarifies that the definition of "chiropractor" includes the treatment of <br />85 both human and domestic animals. He noted that the Planning and Zoning Board concurs with <br />86 the clarification. <br />87 <br />88 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 08-129 as presented. Council <br />89 Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />90 <br />91 6B. Approval of Resolution No. 08-128, Requesting Extension of Time to Complete <br />92 Review and Amendment of Local Comprehensive Plan — Community Development Director <br />93 Grochala noted that the city is in the process of updating the city's comprehensive plan as <br />94 required by the Metropolitan Council. The city's plan is due for submission by December 31, <br />95 2008. Based on the city's schedule, staff believes that an extension is needed and is requesting <br />96 that the council approve that an extension request be submitted to the Metropolitan Council that <br />97 would extend the deadline to May 29, 2009. The request will include a timetable and plan for <br />98 completion as required. <br />99 <br />100 Council Member Gallup moved to approve Resolution No. 08-128 as presented. Council <br />101 Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />102 <br />103 6C. Approval of Resolution No. 08-127, Approving Final Payment, Lino Park Grading <br />104 Improvements — City Engineer Studenski noted that the city's contract for grading and trail <br />et05 <br />work for Lino Park has been satisfactorily completed by the contractor, Jay Brothers, Inc. Staff <br />6 is recommending that the council authorize payment of a change order to that project in the <br />107 amount of $2,733.40 and final payment for the project. The final project amount came in well <br />108 under the engineer's initial estimate. <br />109 <br />110 Council Member Reinert moved to approve Resolution No. 08-127 as presented. Council <br />111 Member O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />112 <br />113 6D. Approval of Resolution No. 08-126, Adopting Assessments - , 2008 Individual <br />114 Property Which Requested Connection to City Utilities (510 Birch Street) — City Engineer <br />115 Studenski reported that the city has received one additional request from an individual property <br />116 to be connected to city utilities. The property owner of 510 Birch Street is requesting connection <br />117 to the city water system and has approved the assessment of costs to the property. <br />118 <br />119 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No. 08-126 as presented. Council Member <br />120 O'Donnell seconded the motion.
