• Youth Instructional programs such as Preschool Dance, Tap and Ballet, and Tae <br />Kwon Do have been going smoothly. Winter sessions are winding down and <br />spring sessions will kick off after spring break. <br />• Adult fitness classes have a strong following and the instructors do a fabulous job <br />of providing an energetic workout. <br />• Spring/Summer registration starts March 2 for Lino Lakes Residents and March 5 <br />for the general public. Some programs to highlight include: <br />Doughnuts with Mom on May 2 <br />Basketball Camp end of July <br />Puppet Show Series <br />Art Camps for Pre -K to middle school ages <br />Friday Field Trip series — total of 7 camps throughout the metro area <br />Volleyball Camp in June and July <br />Stand Up Paddle Board Lessons <br />Family Corn Roast and Community Night — July 30 <br />Movies in the Park — once a month <br />Blue Heron Days - Aug 14-16 <br />• Open Volleyball has been a big success this winter. Every Friday evening from <br />6:30 — 9:30 PM @ Centennial Middle School we have open adult volleyball. For <br />$5 per person a player can enjoy playing pickup volleyball. We have averaged <br />over 20 players per night since December <br />• Light Up Lino Lakes was back again this year and we had 6 Lino Lakes homes <br />participate in the event. The judging committee picked a night in December to <br />judge each house on their decorations. <br />• Snack & Skate classes were held again at Sunrise Park this winter starting in <br />January, we had 15 participants take part in skating lessons while enjoying a <br />snack and a drink after each lesson. <br />• Hockey Skills classes were held on Saturdays at Sunrise Park and we had 3 <br />participants who took part in skating and basic hockey drills. <br />• The Warming Houses opened for the season on January 2nd and are currently <br />still open due to the cool temperatures as the ice conditions are still outstanding. <br />Once opened we have only closed the rinks three times due to weather issues. <br />Rink & Warming House locations are at Sunrise, Birch, and City Hall Park. <br />• Adult Softball Registrations have begun for the spring/summer season, the <br />season will open the week of April 27th <br />Page 1 2 <br />
