CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-29 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AQUA LANE TRUNK WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City's Comprehensive Plan identifies the need for improvements to the <br />municipal water system to enhance and provide redundancy to the City's fire protection, water <br />volume, and flow; and <br />WHEREAS, the extension of water main from Aqua Lane to Black Duck Drive has been <br />identified as a necessary extension of the City's trunk water system; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the city to proceed <br />with the preparation of plans and specifications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. WSB and Associates, Inc., is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The <br />engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. <br />2. City staff is authorized to execute a professional services agreement with WSB and <br />Associates, Inc., in the amount of $49,350.00. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of March, 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />2 <br />
