Mr. Bauer
explained that the Lions Club is interested in establishing a memorial in the city and he
presented some examples of memorials in other cities. They have a person in mind who
could do the granite work and could give an idea of the cost.
Mayor Reinert indicated that the city is interested in helping with the effort. There
should be some options and costs put together for review. He directed staff to report at
the next council work session; he loves the idea of this memorial and wants to begin
working on it.
Community Development Director Grochala suggested that the club may want to speak
with Public Services Director DeGardner about possible locations in the city.
1.
