- zoning in the area of this request (there are various uses along Lake Drive); <br />- future land use map; <br />- the Planning and Zoning Board consideration and action; <br />- Findings. <br />Ms. Larsen noted that the applicants, Robert and Carol Stanek, were present. <br />Council Member Roeser noted that one option is to rezone the entire area to rural but that would <br />impact area properties. He wonders how those neighbors would feel about a rezoning. <br />Mayor Reinert noted that every situation seems to be different — Lino Lakes is a city that lends <br />itself to that. He doesn't hear that the city council contends with the property owners plans and <br />apparently the neighbors don't either. He feels the council is on the same track as the owners <br />and this will be worked out. <br />Applicant Robert Stanek addressed the council. He has lived on the property for more than 20 <br />years and he chose it for the elbow room it offers. He and his wife don't want spot zoning but <br />they want to keep the animals. He can assure the council that they don't intend to develop the <br />land and actually much of the two lots are impacted by water. <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Resolution No. 15-21 as presented. Council <br />Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote; Council Member Stoesz <br />absent. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />There was no Unfinished Business. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council Member Roeser noted that the city should look at updating the video equipment in the <br />council chambers; he suggests discussion at an upcoming work session. Administrator Karlson <br />responded that staff is planning for improvements and money is being set aside to fund that <br />work.
