Oakdale has identified EAB as a
nuisance in their City Ordinance. Oakdale requires licensing of Tree Companies. The
City is interested in developing a policy for residents to save a public tree with
chemicals. The City started treating high-quality trees in 2011. Oakdale states in their
management plan that they will research disposal options. Oakdale will budget for the
replacement of city trees and is budgeting $8400/year to remove and replace Ash trees.
Plymouth
Plymouth is removing but not treating or replacing. Plymouth offers an annual tree
sale for residents to replace Ash trees.
Bloomington
Bloomington is non- committal and are "public educating".
Columbia Heights
Edina
Columbia Heights is removing low quality trees, treating high quality trees, and
replacing public trees.
Edina is removing and treating selected trees.
Burnsville
Burnsville is treating, maybe but only with licensed contractors.
Circle Pines
Circle Pines is evidently treating public and private trees and removing trees over
time.
