CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-17 <br />APPROVING CHAIN OF LAKES ROTARY CLUB APPLICATION <br />FOR A 1 TO 4 DAY TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 340A, allows the city council to consider a <br />temporary on -sale liquor license to a non-profit organization in connection with a social <br />event sponsored by the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club has submitted an application to hold a <br />fundraising event at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Elm Street, on April 5, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club has paid the required fee; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has conducted a background check on the applicant; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires the application be <br />approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before being submitted for approval to <br />the Liquor Control Board; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the request of the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club for a temporary on -sale liquor <br />license. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of March, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council <br />Member Roeser and was duly seconded by Council MemberKusterman and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, Kusterman, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTE <br />Jeff Reine , Mayor <br />Bartell, City Cl . k <br />
