Mr. Rick DeGardner <br />June 2, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />Design and construction of Well House 6 <br />Task 1 — Well House Preliminary Design <br />• Provide site surveying and base map preparation. <br />• Discuss site constraints with Minnesota Department of Health personnel. <br />• Prepare a preliminary site and building layout and discuss with City personnel. <br />Task 2 — Well House Final Design <br />• Prepare final construction drawings and specifications based upon preliminary design <br />discussions with the City. <br />• Review final construction drawings and specifications with City personnel. <br />• Provide an opinion of probable construction cost to reflect specified equipment, structural <br />components, and any modifications made during final design. <br />• Review opinion of probable construction cost with City personnel. <br />• Submit two (2) copies of the final construction drawings and specifications to the <br />Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) for review. Respond to questions and <br />comments from the MDH and receive approval for the drawings and specifications. <br />• Prepare and provide technical criteria, written descriptions, design data, final opinion of <br />probable construction cost, and forms for the City's use in filing applications for <br />governmental design approvals. <br />• Assist City in consultations with governmental agencies, if needed. <br />Task 3 — Well House Bidding <br />• Print construction drawings and specifications (Bidding Documents). <br />• Distribute Bidding Documents to prospective bidders. <br />• Maintain bidders list. <br />• Respond to bidder questions. <br />• Issue addenda to Bidding Documents, if required. <br />• Attend bid opening and prepare bid tabulation sheets. <br />• Evaluate bids. <br />• Assess proposed substitute materials and equipment. <br />• Recommend award of construction contract. <br />Task 4 — Well House Construction <br />• Organize, coordinate, lead, and attend preconstruction conference and regular progress <br />meetings during construction.
