CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-79 <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE <br />CHAIN OF LAKES -OTTER LAKE REGIONAL TRAIL <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County is pursuing the development of a multi-purpose regional trail <br />system that would link local and state trail systems, regional parks, and provide safe and <br />convenient routes for non -motorized traffic to traverse the County, and <br />WHEREAS, in 1996, the Metropolitan Council adopted a Regional Trails Policy <br />Amendment to its Regional Recreation Open Space Development Guidelines/Policy Plan <br />for the implementation of corridors which provide access to high quality natural <br />resources, regional parks, park reserves, and local areas of interest, and <br />WHEREAS, the alignment of the Chain of Lakes -Otter Lake Regional Trail <br />Corridor would link together the cities of Lino Lakes and Centerville, and <br />WHEREAS, the Regional Trail Corridor is strategically located to provide <br />pedestrian access to the recreational resources along its route. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Lino Lakes hereby offers its <br />support to Anoka County in the effort to cooperatively develop the Chain of Lakes -Otter <br />Lake Regional Trail Corridor. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 28th day of July, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council <br />Member Roeser and was duly seconded by Council MemberKusterman <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, KUsterman, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />i <br />Ju anne Bartell, City lerk <br />F, <br />Jeff Rei rt to or <br />and <br />
