CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 2B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Al Rolek <br />MEETING DATE: September 8, 2014 <br />TOPIC: <br />Resolution 14-98 setting the date and time for a Public <br />Hearing for the Proposed 2015 Operating Budget and 2014 <br />Tax Levy Collectible In 2015 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />All local government entities over 500 in population are required to hold a public hearing <br />to receive public input on the proposed levy and general operation budget. <br />Resolution 14-98 sets Monday, December 8, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. during the regularly <br />scheduled City Council meeting as the date for the City's hearing. Final adoption of the <br />2014/2015 tax levy and 2015 general operating budget is anticipated immediately <br />following the hearing. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 14-98. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 14-98 <br />`.s <br />
