CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 4B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Swenson, Public Safety Director <br />MEETING DATE: December 15, 2014 <br />TOPIC: Approval of Resolution 14-154, Authorizing Participation in the <br />Anoka County Fire Mutual Aid Agreement <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />With the integration of fire operations into the Public Safety Department, all mutual aid <br />agreements must be amended to list the City of Lino Lakes Public Safety Department — Fire <br />Division. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Lino Lakes has long a history of participating in fire mutual aid agreements <br />through its membership in the Centennial Fire District. In order to participate in the Anoka <br />County Fire Mutual Aid Agreement, the City of Lino Lakes must update the agreement to <br />reflect the integration of fire operations into the Public Safety Department. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution 14-154, Authorizing Participation in the Anoka <br />County Fire Mutual Aid Agreement. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 14-154 <br />Anoka County Fire Mutual Aid Agreement <br />
