1St Reading: <br />11/14/11 <br />Publication: <br />12/6/11 <br />2nd Reading: <br />1 1/ 78 / 1 1 <br />Effective: <br />1/5/12 <br />Council Member Roeser moved for adoption of the following ordinance: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 21-11 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO <br />ADD ACCESSORY OUTDOOR STORAGE AS AN INTERIM USE IN THE LIGHT <br />INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICT <br />Section 1 Findings <br />Section 2, Subdivision 1of the Zoning Ordinance requires consideration of possible <br />adverse effects of a proposed zoning amendment and that the judgment of a proposed <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance shall be based upon, but not limited to, the <br />following factors: <br />1. The proposed action has been considered in relation to the specific policies and <br />provisions of and has been found to be consistent with the official City <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />The sites where this use would be allowed must be zoned and guided <br />Industrial. The owner would need to obtain an Interim Use Permit, which <br />must, by ordinance, include a termination date and must be reviewed by the <br />City Council for consistency with official controls and the Comprehensive <br />Plan. Therefore the request to amend the ordinance is not inconsistent with <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />2. The proposed use is or will be compatible with present and future land uses of the <br />area. <br />The sites where this use would be allowed must be zoned and guided <br />Industrial. The owner would need to obtain an Interim Use Permit, which <br />must, by ordinance, include a termination date and must be reviewed by the <br />City Council for compatibility with present and future land uses of the <br />surrounding area. Therefore the request to amend the ordinance does not <br />create incompatibility with the present and future land uses of an area. <br />3. The proposed use conforms with all performance standards contained herein <br />The proposal includes performance standards for the proposed use. The <br />owner would need to obtain an Interim Use Permit, which must be reviewed by <br />the City Council for consistency with official controls. <br />
