CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 21-03 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES BY ADDING PERSONAL SERVICES AS A PERMITTED USE IN <br />THE GB GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND AMENDING THE <br />DEFINITION OF PERSONAL SERVICES <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain: <br />Section 1: Findings <br />The City Council makes the following findings: <br />1. The proposed action has been considered in relation to the specific policies and <br />provisions of and has been found to be consistent with the official City <br />Comprehensive Plan. Including personal services in the GB zoning district is <br />consistent with the following policies in the Comprehensive Plan: <br />Promote a full and broad range of office, service, retailing, dining, and <br />entertainment uses within the commercial areas of Lino Lakes that address the needs <br />of the residents. <br />Attract new businesses to Lino Lakes that are complementary to existing <br />businesses, and will contribute to the customer attraction and business interchange of <br />the local commercial areas. <br />Pursue retail and service providers that would complement the existing <br />commercial land uses and/or contribute to the accumulative attraction of Lino Lakes' <br />commercial areas. <br />2. Personal service uses will be compatible with other land uses listed in the GB zone. <br />3. Personal service uses will be subject to all performance standards contained in the <br />zoning ordinance and other requirements. <br />4. Personal service uses typically can be accommodated with the same public services as <br />other GB uses. <br />5. Traffic generated by personal service uses typically can be accommodated with the <br />same public streets as other GB uses. <br />
