3. Advertising Signs: Advertising Signs, as defined by Section II, Subd. F <br />of this ordinance, are prohibited in the SC Zoning District. <br />4. No sign may be closer than five (5) feet to any property line. <br />d. "GB" General Business District and "CB" Central Business District <br />and "PSP" Public Semi Public. <br />Purpose. The GB and CB districts are areas containing a wide variety of business <br />uses including retail, service, and semi -industrial uses. As such, they may contain <br />businesses which tend to serve other business and industry as well as those <br />catering to shoppers. needs. <br />Purpose. The "PSP", Public -Semi Public District is designed and intended to aid <br />in guiding development towards fulfillment of the comprehensive plan to serve <br />the following functions. <br />i. To provide the community with properly located schools, colleges, and <br />health institutions. <br />ii. To provide the community with properly located public services and <br />utilities. <br />iii. To provide the community with properly located open green space, parks, <br />playgrounds and recreational facilities. <br />iv. To relate public and semi-public locations with thoroughfare system. <br />In the GB" General Business District, "CB" Central Business District, and <br />"PSP" Semi -Public Districts all signs must comply with the following: <br />1. Institutional Identification: <br />a. For hospitals, office buildings, etc. <br />b. One free standing sign not to exceed sixty (60) square feet or one <br />wall sign not to exceed twenty (20%) of the building face area or <br />100 square feet whichever is less.. <br />2. Business Signs: <br />a. Pylon or ground signs totaling two (2) square feet of sign surface <br />per lot frontage foot; up to two hundred (200) square feet and not <br />
