Council Member Elliott introduced the following <br />ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93-17 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX BI, ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 4, <br />SUBD. 7, ACCESSORY BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />does ordain: <br />That Section 4, Subd. A' Accessory Buildings and Structures <br />shall be deleted in its entirety and the following substituted <br />therefor: <br />(1) No accessory building or use shall be constructed or developed <br />on a lot prior to the time of construction of the principal <br />building to which it is accessory. <br />(2) A building or portion thereof used for an accessory use, other <br />than home occupation, shall be considered as an accessory <br />building. <br />(3) Houseboats are to be considered accessory structures for <br />purposes of applying this ordinance. Any object that floats <br />which has sleeping accommodations and facilities for preparing <br />food shall be defined as a houseboat. All houseboats which <br />are to be docked or moored within the city limits for a period <br />of six (6) days or more shall require an annual Conditional <br />Use Permit. Said permit shall show the owner, owner's <br />address, boat license number, whether the boat is to be used <br />as a seasonal residence and, if so, for what period of time <br />during the year, type of sanitary sewage facility, water <br />supply, and plot plan showing method of access to public road. <br />Each houseboat shall have one off-street parking space within <br />four hundred (400) feet of the access to the docking of such <br />houseboat. No houseboat shall be used as a permanent <br />residence and, further, that utilities including sanitary <br />sewer, water electricity, and phone shall not be extended to <br />the houseboat. <br />(4) Ice fishing houses stored on parcels of land during summer <br />months shall be considered an accessory building <br />Setbacks for accessory buildings in all districts shall be <br />determined in accordance with appropriate district provisions. <br />Location of said accessory buildings shall not interfer with <br />the future subdivision of the property. <br />(6) No accessory building in a commercial or industrial district <br />shall exceed the height of the principal building except by <br />Conditional Use Permit. <br />(5) <br />
