Connections <br /> to existing paved streets shall require a <br /> straight edge cut and tack coat applied prior <br /> to paving of the new street. <br /> Subd. 6 Bituminous Paving. Successive pavement <br /> construction shall be tacked to prior work <br /> in accordance with Mn/DOT Specifications 2356. <br /> Subd. 7 Turf Establishment. Work required for turf <br /> establishment shall be completed during the <br /> same construction season in which the streets <br /> were rough graded. <br /> Subd. 8 Testing. Density tests will be <br /> taken on the subbase and base courses <br /> by a qualified testing laboratory. <br /> (b) Test Rolling. This work shall consist <br /> of testing the bearing capacity of the <br /> subgrade prior to gravel base <br /> construction by rolling with heavy <br /> equipment. Test rolling equipment <br /> shall be in accordance with Mn/DOT <br /> Specification 2111. 1 or the contractor <br /> may use a loaded dump truck which will <br /> deliver a minimum load of nine (9) <br /> tons per axle. Test rolling shall be <br /> performed when the grading is completed <br /> within 0. 1 foot of the grade staked by <br /> the engineer and shall cover the entire <br /> top width of the pavement structure. <br /> Test rolling shall be performed only <br /> when the engineer and contractor <br /> mutually agree that the subgrade <br /> is acceptable for test rolling. <br /> (c) Concrete Air Test.
