110 � grow in such a manner as materially to impede vision <br /> between a height of two and one-half (2 1/2) feet and ten <br /> (10) feet above the centerline grades of the intersecting <br /> right-of-way lines. <br /> (4) In rear yards: Recreational and laundry drying <br /> equipment, picnic tables, detached outdoor living rooms, <br /> and outdoor eating facilities, provided these are not <br /> less than five (5) feet from any lot line. <br /> (5) Height limitations shall not apply to barns, silos, and <br /> other structures on farms, to church spires, belfries, <br /> cupolas, windmills and solar energy devices, monuments, <br /> chimneys and smokestacks, flag poles, non-commercial <br /> television antennae, and parapet walls extending not more <br /> than four (4) feet above the limiting height of the <br /> building except as provided herein. <br /> (6) In any yards: Terraces, steps, exposed ramps <br /> (wheelchair) , uncovered porches, decks, stoops, or <br /> similar features provided they do not extent above the <br /> height of the ground floor level of the principal <br /> structure or to a distance less than five (5) feet from <br /> any side or rear lot line or twenty (20) feet of any <br /> front lot line nor less than one (1) foot from any <br /> existing or proposed access drive. Yard lights and name <br /> plate signs in residential districts, trees, shrubs, <br /> plants, floodlights, or other sources of light <br /> illuminating authorized illuminated signs, or light <br /> standards for illuminating parking areas, loading areas <br /> or yards for safety and security reasons, provided the <br /> direct source of light is not visible from the public <br /> right-of-way or adjacent residential property. <br /> Subd. 15. Vacated Streets. Whenever any street, alley, <br /> easement, or public way is vacated by official action, the zoning <br /> district abutting the centerline of the said vacated area shall not <br /> be affected by such proceeding. <br /> Subd. 16. Residential Design Standards. All permitted <br /> residential dwellings in the R, R-X, R-1, R-1X, and R-2 districts <br /> shall meet the following design criteria: <br /> (1) All structures shall have permanent concrete or treated <br /> wood foundations which will anchor the structure, which <br /> comply with the Uniform Building Code as adopted in the <br /> State of Minnesota and which are solid for the complete <br /> circumference of the house. <br /> (2) Sixty (60) percent of a residential structure shall have <br /> City of Lino Lakes Zoning Ordinance <br /> ADOPTED 7/13/92 <br /> 33 <br />
