• <br />• <br />• <br />ORDINANCE NO. 03 - 90 <br />collector streets and six (6) percent for <br />local streets. Vertical curves appropriate <br />for the street shall be provided. The minimum <br />curb grade shall be five -tenths (0.5) percent, <br />except curbs in cul-de-sacs shall have a <br />minimum grade of six -tenths (0.6) percent. <br />(6) Boulevards. Boulevard design and use shall be <br />as follows: <br />(a) Boulevards shall have a grade slope of <br />1/4" per foot for the eight (8) feet <br />adjacent to the back of curb. All slopes <br />beyond this shall be 3:1 ratio, maximum. <br />(b) All boulevards shall be sodded or seeded <br />with mulch in accordance with Mn/DOT <br />Specification 2575, and shall include <br />three (3) inches of acceptable topsoil of <br />a turf growing medium to meet Mn/DOT <br />Specification 3877. All disturbed areas <br />beyond the boulevard shall also be sodded <br />or seeded as above. <br />(c) Street trees having a trunk diameter <br />(measured 12 inches above the ground) of <br />not less than two and one-half inches <br />shall be planted along all streets, where <br />sufficient trees do not exist. These <br />trees shall be placed at the property <br />line. One tree per lot shall be <br />required. This requirement will be <br />satisfied and it is preferable if an <br />equivalent number of trees of the same <br />size are planted in a naturalistic way in <br />the front yards of the adjoining lots. <br />(d) Private utility placement shall occur <br />under the established guidelines of the <br />City of Lino Lakes. <br />302.04 Construction Start -Up Procedure <br />Subd. 1 Engineer Required. Each new street <br />project or street improvement shall have <br />plans and specifications which have been <br />prepared and signed by a Minnesota <br />Registered Engineer. A copy of the plans <br />and specifications shall be submitted to <br />the City Engineer or Public Works <br />Director and approved by the City <br />Engineer and City Council. <br />PAGE 7 <br />Subd. 2 Development Contract.
