• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />Ordinance No. 17 — 87 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE, APPENDIX B, ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES, BY AMENDING SUBDIVISION 4, SECTION (4) DESIGN STANDARDS, <br />ITEM (G) BUILDING DESIGN <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, does <br />ordain: <br />I. <br />Ordinance No. 2 of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, passed <br />by the City Council on May 24, 1983, is hereby amended by deleting the current <br />language in Subd. 4, Section (4) (G) (i) (ii) and adding the following language: <br />(G) Building Design <br />1. It is not the intent of the City to restrict design <br />freedom when reviewing project architecture in connection <br />with commercial and industrial site and building plans. <br />However, it is in the best interest of the City to pro- <br />mote high standards of architectural design and compatibility <br />with surrounding structures and neighborhoods. Architectural <br />plans should be prepared by an architect or other qualified <br />person and shall be acceptable to the City Planning and <br />Zoning Board and City Council. The plans shall show the <br />following: <br />(1) elevations of all sides of the building <br />(2) type and color of exterior materials <br />(3) floor plans <br />(4) dimensions and locations of all structures <br />(5) location of trash containers and of heating and <br />air conditioning equipment <br />(6) parking and storage areas <br />(7) landscaping <br />(8) sign location and detail including size and coloring <br />2. All buildings erected on land within the commercial and industrial <br />zoning districts shall be of wood frame, steel, reinforced concrete, <br />masonry or an equivalent or better material. No building shall <br />have pole barn type construction nor an exterior wall surface <br />of sheet metal. Exterior wall surfaces of all buildings shall <br />be face brick, glass, stone, decorative block, architectural <br />concrete cast in place, pre -cast concrete panel, or archi- <br />tectural metal panel. Wood may be used as a trim material. <br />
