• <br />• <br />• <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />The Lino Lakes City Council will hold a Public Hearing, August <br />27, 1984 at P.M., at 1189 Main Street, Lino Lakes, MN., <br />for the purpose of considering the following proposed amendments <br />to the Lino Lakes City Charter. <br />Section 1,Chapter 8, Section 9.08, Subdivision 2. shall be amended <br />by adding "or connections charges". <br />Section 8, Chapter 8, Section 8.04, Subdivision 3 shall be amended <br />by deleting"However, no contract shall be let in the event that <br />the current proposed contract exceeds the estimated costs by more <br />than ten (10%) percent" and adding "If after bids are received on <br />the project the proposed contract exceeds the estimated cost of <br />the engineer stated at the public hearing held under Subdivision <br />1 by more than ten (10%) percent, the City Council may not award the <br />contract for the proposed improvement, but may re -bid the project <br />for one time only". <br />Chapter 8 shall be amended by adding the following Section. <br />Section 8.06 When under the provisions of Section 8.04, <br />Subdivision 1, an improvement is petitioned for by 100 per- <br />cent of the benefited property owners, such property owners <br />may after (a) the mailing of notice of a public hearing and <br />public hearing, may petition to waive fifty (50) of the sixty <br />(60) day waiting period. After such petition, the City Council <br />may immediately order the proposed project. <br />All persons wishing to speak shall be heard at that time. <br />Edna L.
