Level 2 — Recruitment incentive for individuals with firefighter experience - $2,500 <br />• Must apply for and hired as a POC firefighter with Lino Lakes by July 31, 2015 at 4 PM <br />• Must be certified in MN with FF1, FF2 and Hazardous Material Operations <br />• Actively participate with the fire implementation process by assisting with recruiting <br />and training of Lino Lakes fire personnel. <br />• Attend at least six training/planning meetings prior to the December 1, 2015. <br />• Ensure the fire implementation process is successful by the January 1, 2016. <br />• Upon final job offer from the City of Lino Lakes and acceptance the POC firefighter <br />will receive $1,000 coinciding with the first payroll. <br />• Upon meeting all milestones of the level 2 incentive the POC firefighter will receive <br />$1,500 on the December 18, 2015 payroll. <br />Level 3 — Recruitment incentive for individuals with no or little fire experience — $2,600 <br />• Must apply for and hired as a paid on-call (POC) firefighter with Lino Lakes <br />• Upon successful completion of Firefighter 1 training with State certification receive <br />$1,200 <br />• Upon successful completion of Firefighter 2 and Hazardous Materials Operations <br />training with State certification receive $1,400 <br />Please note that individuals hired as POC firefighters with no training or experience do not <br />receive any hourly compensation for the hours in the initial firefighter certification courses <br />(FF1, FF2 & Hazardous Materials Operations). The level 3 incentive was designed to <br />compensate POC firefighter for training hours only upon successful completion of the courses. <br />The costs associated with these fire recruitment incentives are included in the approved 2015 <br />budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends Council approval of Resolution 15-22 continuing incentive program for the <br />recruitment of fire personnel with the City of Lino Lakes. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 15-22 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
