• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-68 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS, AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT, 2015 MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2015 Mill and <br />Overlay Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of bid <br />Valley Paving, Inc. $668,676.92 <br />Midwest Asphalt, Inc. $732,837.85 <br />Hardrives, Inc. $814,502.86 <br />Engineer's Opinion of Cost $901,840.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Valley <br />Paving, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2015 Mill <br />and Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council <br />and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of June, 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Rafferty and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Kusterman, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none (Roeser Abstain) <br />ATTEST: <br />JuIia,�ne Bartell, City Cler <br />Jef Reine , ► . yor <br />
