COUNCIL MINUTES July 27, 2015 <br />DRAFT <br />181 - Fire Station Project — there have been two other change order requests that were declined by <br />182 staff based on further research. Onn the road change, there may be some alleviation of the <br />183 situation by dryer weather. He noted that staff is being very diligent in keeping costs down. <br />184 The project itself is taking shape, with the roof mostly in and floors being poured. <br />185 Fire Personnel — there are currently 19 fully trained staff members, 13 currently in training <br />186 who will finish August 26, additional hires to start training on August 24, and six new <br />187 candidates in the process. <br />188 - Equipment — Engine 21 is being outfitted with new hoses and the other engine will follow <br />189 very soon. One engine will be at the Corn Fest and Night to Unite events. The engines are <br />190 performing well as part of the training program. <br />191 Policy Manual — is being rolled out. <br />192 <br />193 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />194 <br />195 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />196 <br />197 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />198 6A) 2015 Mill and Overlay Project, County Road J Coordination with Ramsey County - <br />199 Brian Bourassa, representing the city engineer, explained that staff is seeking direction on a proposed <br />200 coordination agreement. The improvement project was going to be funded through a cost sharing <br />201 agreement with Ramsey County but due to changes in what the County can fund, staff is proposing a <br />202 change to the funding structure as explained in the staff report. <br />203 Council Member Rafferty moved to authorize coordination as proposed by staff. Council Member <br />204 Stoesz seconded the motion.
