Council Member Dahl introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-117 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT — 2001 <br />SEALCOAT PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2001 Sealcoat Program, bids <br />were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying <br />with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Pearson Bros., Inc $ 97,559.00 <br />Allied Blacktop Co. $ 98,813.00 <br />Astech Corp. $ 118,025.50 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 87,425.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Pearson Bros., Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Pearson Bros., <br />Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2001 Sealcoat Program <br />according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk. <br />2.
