• Use the Surface Water Treatment Train© design on this site as an <br />educational opportunity in the schools. <br />• Move the existing Eastern Red Cedars on the site to a protected location. <br />Use in the design if possible.- <br />• Save end portions of the Pine row on the south side of the project if <br />possible. <br />• Use native plants in the ground covers for all surface water treatment <br />areas and other areas where possible. <br />• Submit an Operation and Maintenance Plan for surface water issues, <br />including a plan for native plant maintenance. <br />• Preliminary landscape design plants should be evaluated for site <br />appropriateness, and in particular the plants designed along the highway <br />should be salt -tolerant. <br />• Use "shoe -box" or low -impact, no -spill lighting on the site. <br />2. Molin Concrete Site Plan Review <br />Motion made to table pending; submission of landscape plan, tree <br />inventory, Rice Creek Watershed's TWAFFA requirement information, <br />lighting plan, an understanding of chemical use on the site, use of well <br />heads on site as indicated by the County Well Point Index. The <br />Landscape Plan should show the use of native groundcover plants and <br />trees, the berm area on the north should be looked at for effectiveness <br />and the use of irrigation, and the that the City should re -focus on the <br />priorities set forth in the current Surface Water management Plan review <br />process so that the surface water issues are better understood in plan <br />review sites such as Molin Concrete. <br />Motion was made by Connie Grundhoffer, second by Amy Donlin, all <br />approved. <br />3.
