Council member Dahl introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01-195 RESOLUTION RE -DESIGNATING ANTENNA LEASE REVENUES FOR SOFTWARE LICENSING WHEREAS, staff has identified the need to add and upgrade computer software licenses for use by city departments; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has provided funding for such computer software licensing and a number of other items from antenna lease revenues in its Resolution No. 00-66; and, WHEREAS, staff has since completed a comprehensive inventory of computer software licenses used and needed by all city departments; and, WHEREAS, the cost of adding and upgrading computer software licenses is significantly higher than was provided for in Resolution No. 00-66; and, WHEREAS, significant savings and other modifications for other items identified in Resolution No. 00-66 have resulted in a residual balance that is sufficient to cover the cost differential for computer software licensing; and, WHEREAS, staff has recommended that the residual balance be re -designated toward fulfilling the computer software licensing needs. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, that the residual balance from items identified in Resolution No. 00-66 funded from antenna lease revenue be re -designated for computer software licensing and upgrades, and that such residual balance plus the original designation be in the amount of $36,000. Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 17th day of December, 2001.
