Council member Dahl introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-195 <br />RESOLUTION RE -DESIGNATING ANTENNA LEASE REVENUES <br />FOR SOFTWARE LICENSING <br />WHEREAS, staff has identified the need to add and upgrade computer software <br />licenses for use by city departments; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has provided funding for such computer software <br />licensing and a number of other items from antenna lease revenues in its <br />Resolution No. 00-66; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff has since completed a comprehensive inventory of computer <br />software licenses used and needed by all city departments; and, <br />WHEREAS, the cost of adding and upgrading computer software licenses is <br />significantly higher than was provided for in Resolution No. 00-66; and, <br />WHEREAS, significant savings and other modifications for other items identified in <br />Resolution No. 00-66 have resulted in a residual balance that is sufficient <br />to cover the cost differential for computer software licensing; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff has recommended that the residual balance be re -designated toward <br />fulfilling the computer software licensing needs. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, that the residual balance from items identified in Resolution No. 00-66 funded <br />from antenna lease revenue be re -designated for computer software licensing and <br />upgrades, and that such residual balance plus the original designation be in the amount of <br />$36,000. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 17th day of December, 2001. <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Reinert and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Where upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
