CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 4B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Swenson, Public Safety Director <br />MEETING DATE: December 14, 2015 <br />TOPIC: Authorize the Lease with North Memorial Ambulance Service for <br />Use of Lino Lakes Fire Station #1 and #2 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The North Memorial Ambulance Service has requested to use Lino Lakes Fire Station #1 and <br />#2 to base one ambulance. <br />BACKGROUND <br />As part of the integration of fire services into the Public Safety Department we have worked <br />closely with the staff from North Memorial on medical response protocols, training matters, <br />and establishing a formal relationship to receive Medical Direction from North Memorial. <br />Staff has also negotiated a lease agreement with North Memorial Ambulance Service. <br />This lease allows North Memorial Ambulance to utilize one of the two Lino Lakes fire stations <br />to house one ambulance and crew. North Memorial will pay the City of Lino Lakes $1,200 per <br />month and the lease is for three years. <br />This lease was developed by City Attorney, Joseph Langel. Mr. Langel has reviewed all <br />subsequent revisions and he is satisfied the lease is an appropriate form for signature by City <br />staff. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that Council approves this lease. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Lease Agreement with North Memorial Ambulance Services <br />
