STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />INTRODUCTION <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1I <br />Keith M Dahl, Community Development Intern <br />December 14, 2015 <br />Consider Resolution No. 15-140, Extension of Time for <br />the Submittal of the Planned Unit Development Final <br />Plan/Final Plat, Century Farm North 6th Addition <br />3/5 <br />Gary Uhde of Century Farm North Development, Inc., the developer of Century Farm North, is <br />requesting a six month extension for submittal of the PUD Final Plan/Final Plat for Century <br />Farm North 6th Addition. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On July 28, 2014 the City Council passed Resolution No. 14-43 approving an amendment to <br />the PUD Development Stage Plan/Preliminary Plat for Century Farm North, a residential <br />subdivision. On February 9, 2015, the developer submitted an application for PUD Final <br />Plan/Final Plat for Century Farm North 6th Addition. The Planning & Zoning Board reviewed <br />and made recommendation of approval on March 11, 2015. The developer then requested the <br />PUD Final Plan/Final Plat not be presented to City Council until further notice in order to <br />secure financing. On May 11, 2015 City Council approved a six month extension for the PUD <br />Final Plan/ Final Plat for Century Farm North 6th Addition. The developer has requested an <br />additional six month extension for submittal of the PUD Final Plan/ Final Plat. <br />The City's zoning and subdivision ordinance requires a complete application for PUD Final <br />Plan/Final Plat be submitted no later than one year after the date of approval of the preliminary <br />plat (July 2015). The City Council may grant a 6 month extension upon request of the <br />developer. Although the developer technically submitted a complete application within the one <br />year deadline, City Council approval will extend the deadline. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 15-140 granting a 6 month extension until July <br />31, 2016 for submittal of the PUD Final Plan/Final Plat for Century Farm North 6th Addition. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
