3.09 MAINTENANCE <br />A. Restored areas that have been satisfactorily completed and are disturbed by additional <br />construction activity required by the timing and sequencing of the Work shall be restored <br />over to the same requirements of the original work. <br />B. Any sod that does not show definite growth and establishment 60 days after installation <br />shall be replaced and established at the proper season by the Contractor at his/her <br />expense. <br />C. Seed maintenance shall be done in conformance with the MnDOT Seeding Manual - <br />Maintenance Requirements for year 1. <br />D. Watering of sod areas shall be done for a minimum period of 60 days from installation <br />sufficient to ensure establishment of permanent vegetation. <br />3.10 INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE <br />A. Seeding and turf work will be inspected for acceptance in parts agreeable to the <br />Engineer, provided Work offered for inspection is complete, including maintenance for the <br />portion in question. <br />B. At the conclusion of the establishment period(s), a final inspection of planting(s) will be <br />made to determine the conditions of areas specified for landscaping. <br />C. When inspected landscape work does not comply with requirements, replace rejected <br />Work and continue specified maintenance until re -inspected by Engineer and found to be <br />acceptable.
