The intent of this section is to protect the floodway so it can <br />transport and store the waters of the 100 -year flood without increased flood heights, velocities or <br />threats to public health and safety. <br />§1103.06 Flood Fringe District (FF) <br />This section previously covered Floodplain Overlay District Uses which has been stricken. Flood Fringe <br />District is a new section; however it is similar in requirements to the old section 1103.06 Floodplain <br />Overlay District. <br />§1103.07 General Floodplain District (GF) <br />This section previously covered Standards for Flood Plain Overlay District Uses which has been stricken. <br />General Floodplain District is a new section, intended to establish standards for determination of <br />floodplain district when none is specified. It also requires the community to assess the cumulative <br />effects of any floodway encroachments due to development. <br />§1103.08 Land Development Standards <br />This section previously covered Subdivisions which has been incorporated. Land Development <br />Standards is a new section; however it incorporates old section 1103.08 Subdivisions and adds the <br />following: <br />■ Subpart 2)a requires building sites be outside Floodway District <br />• Subpart 2)b requires road access to new subdivisions must be no lower than two feet <br />below RFPE <br />• Subpart 2)d requires applicants provide determination of regional flood elevation <br />• Subpart 3) Building sites requirements for new construction or substantial <br />improvements within a flood -prone area <br />4 of 7 <br />
