CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10-91 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR ERECTION OF A <br />DOPPLER RADAR ON LAND OWNED BY MIDWEST CABLE AND SATELLITE <br />WHEREAS, Midwest Cable and Satellite, Inc. owns land located in <br />the Northwest Quarter of Section 33 within the City of <br />Lino Lakes (street address 6221 Holly Drive; and, <br />WHEREAS, Midwest Cable and Satellite has made application (DRB <br />Application 90-58) to expand its communication center at <br />that address to include a doppler radar and is asking for <br />a conditional use permit authorizing operation of the <br />radar; and, <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes granted a conditional use permit <br />to Midwest Radio -Television, Inc. for the erection of a <br />micro -wave tower in 1982 (City file No. 82-02) and other <br />communications and site improvements in 1984 and 1988; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Midwest Cable and Satellite, Inc. has submitted to the <br />city documentation that the radar operates within safety <br />standards as promulgated by the U. S. Federal Government; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, The application was reviewed by the Lino Lakes design <br />review board (planning commission) and a public hearing <br />was held before the Lino Lakes City Council on December <br />20, 1990; and, <br />WHEREAS, the city council has'determined the application for a <br />conditional use permit meets the standards found in <br />Section 5, subd. 5 of the city's zoning for the granting <br />of such permits to wit: <br />1. Based upon the testimony of Steven Smith, Director <br />of Engineering and Operations and upon the letter <br />report and enclosures of Enterprise Electronics <br />Corporation indicating that power levels at 350 <br />
