CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 - 22 <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PREPARATION OF AN ORDINANCE ORGANIZING <br />RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION IN THE CITY AND AMENDING <br />EXISTING ORDINANCE 507. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, <br />as follows: <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has announced its intent to consider <br />organized collection of solid waste pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 115A.94; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has followed the procedure outlined by the statute for <br />the notice, planning and consideration of organized collection; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, upon review of the information generated by <br />the planning and consideration process, including input from the public, staff, <br />haulers, and other concerned persons; <br />NOW, the City Council for the City of Lino Lakes makes the following: <br />FINDIN SOF FACT <br />1. By resolution number 96-31 adopted by the City Council on March <br />25, 1996, the City of Lino Lakes announced its intent to establish a system of <br />organized collection of residential solid waste. The Resolution of Intent expressed <br />many of the underlying concerns compelling the City of Lino Lakes to establish a <br />system of organized collection of residential solid waste. <br />2. The City of Lino Lakes established a Lino Lakes Solid Waste Advisory <br />Committee made up of city staff members and members of the Lino Lakes City <br />Council, charter commission, organizations conducting hauling operations in the <br />city, and other city residents. The Solid Waste Advisory Committee met and <br />discussed the issue of organized collection within the city on various occasions, <br />
