Section 01 50 00 <br />TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 Description: <br />A. Temporary facilities and controls required for the performance of this work <br />include, but are not necessarily limited to: <br />1. Temporary utilities such as heat, water and electricity <br />2. Contractor's facilities <br />3. Sanitary facilities <br />4. Enclosures such as tarpaulins, barricades, and canopies <br />B. Related work described in other Sections of these specifications: <br />C. All equipment furnished by Contractors shall comply with all requirements of <br />pertinent safety regulations. The ladders, planks, hoists, and similar items <br />normally furnished by the individual trades in execution of their own portions of <br />the work are part of this Section. <br />1.02 Quality Assurance: <br />A. Conduct daily inspections to verify that temporary utility connections are secure <br />and safe. <br />1.03 Product Handling: <br />A. Use all means necessary to maintain temporary facilities and controls in proper <br />and safe condition throughout the progress of the work. <br />1.04 Job Conditions: <br />A. Make all required connections to existing utility systems with minimum <br />disruption to services in the existing utility systems. <br />1. When disruption of the existing service is required, do not proceed without <br />the Owner's approval and, when required, provide alternate temporary <br />service. <br />B.
