D. Caulking sealant for exposed joints shall be a one -component polyurethane <br />sealant conforming to Federal Specification TT -S -00230C(2), Type II, Class A or <br />B. <br />1. The latest manufacturer specifications and installation techniques are to be <br />followed. <br />3.02 Inspection: <br />A. Examine the areas and conditions under which work in this section will be <br />installed. Correct conditions detrimental to the proper and timely completion of <br />the work. Do not proceed until such conditions have been corrected. <br />3.03 Job Conditions: <br />A. Protection: <br />1. Existing work shall be properly protected from damage or soiling during <br />the process of removal of existing roofing and installation of new roofing <br />material. Exercise special care at openings through roof and at roof edges. <br />Spill no roofing materials on building surfaces. Any finished work <br />damaged in the execution of work of this section, including <br />lawns/shrubbery, shall be replaced or restored to the original condition by <br />this Contractor. <br />2. Contractor shall protect existing roofing with minimum 3/4 inch thick <br />plywood protection board. Any damage to existing roof shall be repaired <br />by Contractor. <br />B. Workmanship: <br />1. Flashing and sheet metal work shall be accomplished to fulfill the <br />requirements of the drawings and specifications.
